CW1 Swivel

Description

CW1 has a structure using symmetrical ribbons of bent plywood to create a sinuous and highly comfortable form. While this design has a highly sculptural form, Wilson applied the sort of ergonomics usually found in function-driven designs like office chairs; The shells are angled inwards to provide an embracing form, and curve in around the lower back to support the lumbar region. As well, the halves move independently, allowing for greater freedom of movement.
