Does Zenith offer an Interior Design service?

NO Zenith provides a wide range of commercial furniture for the fit out industry. We assist A and ID with technical support, budgeting and planning, product presentations to clients, project coordination and implementation, after sales service. We are happy to recommend an Interior Designer or Architect.

Can I mix and match different features from a Zenith workstation?

Zenith offers customized solutions for our workstations. Although we offer 4 distinct product collection such as Synthesis, Options, Stratus have components that can be interchanged.

Ergonomics – Why does it matter?

Due to the variety of work tasks, variety in peoples physiology', variety of work environments it is crucial to consider ergonomics to ensure maximum performance from staff and less downtime.

Soft wiring or Hard wiring of power in workstations?

Soft wiring is used in most fit outs because;

  • Quicker installation of electrical services within the workstation
  • Allows electrical contractor to terminate and test main fit out wiring prior to workstations arriving on site, this can not be done with hard wiring into workstations
  • Reduced cost/time when altering workstations
  • Reuse and recycling of components is good for the environment

Acoustics – How can I improve acoustics in open plan?

In an open plan office the most efficient way to improve noise level is through sound absorption ( the measure of this is called NRC Noise Reduction Coefficient

Effective ways to increase sound absorption are;

  • Improved acoustic ceiling tiles
  • Selection of floor coverings
  • Perimeter building materials
  • Use of sound absorbing screens materials such as Echo Panel ( from Woven Image ) and insulation within the screens.

Other effective methods are to increase distance between workstations, incorporate banks of storage between workstations

If the level of acoustics is of major concern then we suggest the services of an acoustic consultant be consider to evaluate the building, design and selection of materials. Acoustic consultants are often engaged for call centres and for when a high level of security and privacy is required.

Do Zenith products have environmental accreditation?

Our new Crossover workstation meets the European standards for the environment called FISP and the Green Building Council of Australia recognises this accreditation.

AFRDI – What is it?

The Australasian Furnishing Research and Development Institute is an independent not-for-profit technical organisation providing standards, testing, product certification and research for buyers and sellers of furniture. Visit www.furtech.org.au for more information on the organisation that has become the benchmark for the furniture industry. AFRDI certification is often a minimum requirement for suppliers to meet when tendering. Zenith utilises the services of AFRDI to have workstations and chairs certified to confirm the quality and longevity of our products.
