David Walley's recent work explores the concept of progression, lineage and evolution. Return to his native Melbourne, after a long sojourn in Britain, provided impetus for a shift in focus. Now Design Director of Yellow Diva, the creative design studio he established in London with British architect James Davis, David is enjoying a period of productive independence in Australia.
An industrial design graduate (RMIT), David went on to work in film and television as Art Director and Production Designer in Australia and Europe. The film industry afforded enormous creative freedom and exposure to a multitude of skills, places and personalities. These influences still bring a refreshing bearing on David's approach to design today.
