Peter Christian

Aktiva was formed in 1988 to design, manufacture and market a range of products primarily lighting and furniture, for the contract specifier market. London based Aktiva have an excellent reputation for elegant, minimal and practical, lighting systems and furniture.

Peter Christian studied furniture design at the Royal College of Art and went on to form his design and manufacturing company in the 1980s before becoming Design Director at Aktiva.

He has won numerous design awards as well as being represented in the V & A 20th Century Furniture Collection and continues to design and develop lighting systems and furniture at Aktiva and at Christian Stuart Partnership for a number of manufacturers, including for Allermuir his highly successful Wafer and Surf designs.
